Medium capacity 5-axis portal machining centre with swivelling table on cradle for complex parts up to 600kg

The U Mill range is a 5-axis machining centre with a portal structure and a swivelling rotary table on cradle. Its modern design and compact size are optimized to guarantee a minimal footprint without compromising either the workpiece volume or the fundamental characteristics of HURON machines: enhanced rigidity for high performance and quality machining. The U Mill 6 features a fixed portal structure in ribbed cast iron with stiffness walls that attenuate torsional stresses, combined with a swivelling rotary table on cradle that provides excellent approach to the workpiece on its 5 faces. With a larger work envelope of 700 x 740 x 550mm and increased table capacity of 600kg compared to the U Mill 5, this machine is ideally suited for medium-sized complex parts in 3 or 5 axes, from roughing to finishing, for various sectors such as high precision mechanical parts, automotive, rail, energy, machining of 3D forms, and aerospace.
